I came to this work through lived experience - times in my own life when I felt stuck, uncertain, and looking for support that felt grounded and human. Having grown up in Aotearoa, I hold a deep respect for the diversity of people, stories and cultural perspectives here.
I'm committed to creating a therapeutic space that is inclusive, culturally aware and shaped by empathy.
My professional background includes postgraduate training in counselling, psychotherapy, and applied psychology. I’m grounded in narrative therapy — a non-pathologising, collaborative approach that sees people as separate from their problems, and capable of rewriting the stories that shape their lives. I also draw on trauma-informed care, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, and other integrative practices.
In my work with couples, I use the Developmental Model - a powerful and practical framework for working through gridlock and building healthier patterns of connection. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals and couples facing everything from anxiety and communication breakdowns to sexual concerns, infidelity and parenting challenges. I welcome diversity in all its forms, including gender, relationship structure, culture and identity.
My journey as a therapist is always evolving, but at its heart is a commitment to helping people feel more connected - to themselves, to each other and to a life that aligns with their values.
I believe that therapy can be a turning point - a place where something begins to shift. I’ve seen how powerful it is when people feel truly heard and supported to make change.
I work with individuals and couples facing disconnection, conflict or big life changes. My approach is grounded in evidence, but always shaped by the unique needs of each person or relationship.
People often tell me they feel safe and understood in our sessions. I aim to bring a balance of warmth, clarity and practical tools - so both partners feel heard, even during the hard conversations.
I’ve supported individuals and couples for many years, with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care. I draw on a range of approaches and am always learning, so I can meet each couple where they are.
